Human Target Premieres this weekend and everyone is talking about it. Composer Bear McCreary who is the composer for the show writes on his blog...
Don't let the cheesy pop music from the ads fool you: Human Target has a thematic and lyrical orchestral score, inspired by the classic scores of Jerry Goldsmith, Elmer Bernstein and John Williams. One of the only shows on TV with a weekly orchestral series, this could be the largest and most ambitious TV score in decades. The typical HT orchestra is literally twice as big as the largest orchestra I ever had on BSG. Soundtrack fans will not want to miss this one!
At Fox's press tour Chi McBride, who was still a bit sore from past experiences with critics because of some of his previous endeavors that were canceled prematurely, begs them, "Like us, don't love us."
And up in Canada USA Today writes about the amazing sets used in the pilot,
The insides of a reconstructed passenger jet overwhelm a vast soundstage here, the latest unfolding disaster to confront Christopher Chance, the hero of Fox's Human Target, premiering Sunday (8 ET/PT).
But producers on a typically rainy day last fall were confronted with a dilemma that even Chance couldn't get out of: A scene calls for the hero to fly the plane upside-down, but how to show extras, playing hapless passengers, without leaving them literally hanging?
A plan to build an upside-down version of the fuselage is ditched when a rotisserie is found on a nearby film set, to spiral the plane like a roast pig.
Valley, who had never heard of the character of Chance until he got the job, remarked that after a bit of research, "one of the things I really liked about the character was this dark sense of irony ... a tongue-in-cheek, certain kind of gallows humor. That he's not just a serious impersonator, that there's something else ticking inside of him."
To Help promote the show Fox set up a Human Target themed shooting gallery at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA. It was part of Fox's winter press tour. Several of the cast and crew got a chance to test their aim. Including Valley and Executive Producer McG
"Executive Producer McG told a group of reporters at the event in Pasadena, "I just believe in that show, and we actually got rewarded last night. Peter Roth seems really happy with the numbers. We're happy with what it did, so hopefully it'll keep on trucking." Roth is president of Warner Brothers Television, who is producing the show for NBC.
Do you know when it will premiere in Australia? And what time and date? If you do, please email me at the above address!!
